CHARGING OPTIONS IN HONG KONG

AT HOME

Do you have your own parking space at home?  Then you can have a charging station installed at your home.  Such a charging station often comes with its own cable, so you can easily connect it to your car.

AT WORK

Is there a charging station at your work?  Then use the charging cable supplied with your car.

AT A FAST-CHARGING STATION

It is of course preferable to be on the road again as soon as possible after re-charging your battery.  Luckily there are fast charging stations.  Here it takes only 30 minutes to recharge your battery for 80%.  That will save you a few hours compared to regular charging points.

IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Don’t have the opportunity to have a charging station at your home or are you on your way?  Then you can make use of a public charging station soon to be installed in your Hong Kong neighborhood or at a public car park.

POWERFUL AND SAFE BATTERIES

Electric cars use a battery pack in which energy is stored for powering the engine.  These batteries differ from the conventional lead batteries used in petrol or diesel cars with combustion engines.  The weight, the storage capacity and the possibilities of use are the main differences.

​SERES uses Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which are among the safest kind of Lithium batteries.  Lithium is used in many different chemical compositions of batteries, and international research has shown that these batteries have no greater fire risk than cars with gasoline or diesel combustion engines.  Lithium iron phosphate is even safer.

  • They are better able to withstand high temperatures, which makes them more fireproof and stable.

  • They have a longer and better life cycle.  The battery can be charged frequently and retains its charge for a long time with low self-discharge.  The battery can be easily connected in parallel, among other things with batteries of a different charge.

  • The charging speed differs from that of a classic battery.  A LiFePO4 battery charges faster and requires no extra maintenance.  This saves you time and costs.

  • Due to an optimal energy density, volume and weight remain low.  Power, capacity and range remain high.
